I recently bought a Chanel bangle that has the two C's in rhinestones. I was afraid of them falling out so I put nail polish over them (as i heard this prevents it) but now the stones seem dull. Did the clear nail polish take away the shine of the rhinestones, blocking the reflection of the light in the stones? :( Im afraid to take it off now with nail polish remover as it might loosen the stones!Does putting clear nail polish on rhinestones take out the shine?
I always put rhinestones on my nails and then put clear nail polish on top of it, just to make sure it stays and i've never had a problem with the shine. of course, it depends on the rhinestone, nailpolish, etc.
Hmmm, but i wouldn't reccommend using nail polish remover on it because, you're right, it might loosen it! :S
I think you should leave it as it is!! maybe it was the right choice, anyways - it COULD have gotten chipped / fallen out without the nail polish! :) look on the bright side!

don't put nail polish remover on it that could damage the bangle
