As long as it is tightly capped, it should last many YEARS past the expiry date. When you (re)open it, stir
the contents if there is any visible separation or stratification. The expiration date is there to encourage you to discard and purchase new and has little to do with the actual shelf life of the product. Is nail polish still good 6 months after an expiry date?
Probably will not be as good since the chemicals will have worn down. That's the part that will likely not be as strong...
You can still use it, but you won't get the same results. It's better to just let the consultant know that it's already expired, and she should replace it for you.
Polish has a shelf life of about two years especially if stored properly.
i have had nail polish for 2 yrs and it is still good,,,,just depends on the situation if it gets to hot or cold then it might get ruined,,,,and then again some i've had for 7-8 months and it ended up going bad,,,,u can tell when it gets bad
