How do you keep nail polish on for at least a week?

o.k. I love to ware nail polish (on my fingers and toes) but I rarely get time to paint them and when I do get the chance they only last for the rest of the day. is there anywr you can make it stay on longer without buying specal products? How do you keep nail polish on for at least a week?
well first you have to make sure the nail polish you have is good quality. in other words the cheap dollar ones are no good. Get yourself a good clear base coat and apply it before you put on your nailpolish. Put on your nail polish, i say two coats or more if you want. then apply a good clear top coat. it should last you a while if you take care of them. :) Sally Hansen has good non-chip top and base nail polishes. and there diamond strength nail colors are good too. you can get them at walgreens or any drugstore. revlon has good ones too. i prefer sally hansen though. How do you keep nail polish on for at least a week?
If you absolutely don't want to buy products then just watch what you do.

If you really want then to stay on longer then i strongly suggest you go out and buy a no chip nail polish. I use it and it lasts like a month. And thats really saying something since i am crawling through the dirt and really hands on.
i find that i subconciously pick at my nails and that makes them chip.

get a real manicure, try french tips maybe. or acrylics if you can afford them. they will look so darn cute you wont dare mess them up, and you'll get in the habit of being careful with them. then you can do it yourself.

it worked for me.
i'm not sure what you have to put on it but when i got my toes done they painted them then put something on it

the stuff came in about the same thing nail polish comes in and you put it on the same way.

sorry that i don't know what it was
As long as your nail polish is of good quality, and you avoid things that woulld scrape on your nails, it should last longer. You can try a clear coating on top of the nail polish to avoid the colour chipping.
Nope just get a hard wearing one and as long as your nails are healthy and you don't do anything to manual it should stay on :)
You have to put on a nail polish that stays long! I use Revlon and it stays on for ten days! Believe I am using it.
Put on at least two coats, then put on a hard, clear coat to protect against chipping.
