How could I remove finger nail polish from purple suede couch?

Well, try applying some fingernail polish remover to a part of the couch that isn't seen and see what affect it has on the material. If it doesn't cause discoloration or other harm, use it to clean the spot. Otherwise just get a couple of pillows and cover it up. Maybe it will wear off with time. How could I remove finger nail polish from purple suede couch?
Carefully scrape excess with a dull knife or spatula. Mix a solution of mild soap in lukewarm water. Swish to create a great volume of suds. Apply only the foam with a sponge, but avoid spreading the stain. Dry with a clean cloth. If the polish has hardened, try gently rubbing an artgum eraser across it. As a last resort, cautiously file the area with an emery board or a piece of very fine (grade 6/0-8/0) sandpaper. As a thin layer of hide is removed, work carefully. How could I remove finger nail polish from purple suede couch?
IT IS IMPERVIOUS TO SOAP AND WATER. NAIL POLISH REMOVER/ACETONE WILL DISSOLVE/LIQUEFY IT SO IT CAN BE REMOVED. IF YOU ARE LUCKY THOSE EFFORTS WILL NOT DAMAGE THE FABRIC.

How do you get red nail polish out of tan carpet???

i accedentaly got red anil polish on my parents tan vcarpet and i need to get it out or i will die.How do you get red nail polish out of tan carpet???
Years ago, my step-daughter spilled BLUE nail polish on my tan carpet... I did get it all out...

you need unused nail polish remover and a few clean rags (old wash cloths... something that you can throw out)

you need to find out if the carpet will stand up to the remover (not dissolve)

pour a little remover and dab, dab, dab, dab, with the rag, using a clean part of the rag each time... DO NOT RUB...

pour more remover and repeat the above... BE PATIENT, but persistant!!!

After the color is removed, use another clean rag dampened with water and a bit of dish detergent to freshen spot

then take a thicker cloth (or layers of cloths) and absorb wetness...can even put a weight on it for a while.

look up stain removal on the internet...

Remember:

1) learn from this mistake and don't use n. p. in a carpeted area

2) honesty is the best policy... tell your parents

3) APOLOGIZEHow do you get red nail polish out of tan carpet???
use acetone which is stronger than nail polish remover.
Try nail polish remover on it. If not let it dry then scratch off the nail polish with a knife and vaccum it up
a product called Goof Off
I suggest you use pick at it with tweezers until you get most of it out the gut some scissors like the ones you use for your nails to chop it off. If the paint went deep sorry...best luck to ya
okdon`t panic use hairspay w/ water and soap then let it soak for 5 min or so
go get a q tip. dip it in the nail polish remover, and DAB a SMALL spot on the carpet to see if its gonna bleach the carpet. if its gnna bleach it, the spot will b discolored immediately. so dont make a huge spot. if it didnt bleach it, go ahead and remove the spot with that, but if it did, just dilute it and test again. if u dont wanna do that, theres this stuff called goop or something of that nature. its basically lighter fluid and it will take the stain out but leave a smell. just tell ur mom and dad. if theyll totally flip, just do an online search! sorry
Hopefully it hasn't dried yet. Either way wheather it has dried or not, fingernail polish remover should remove it. If that doesn't work, you can use paint thinner but don't use a whole lot as it may damage the carpet more so than the nail polish

Gmask, I recently had it done to my cellphone can I use Nail Polish to stick Swarovski Crystals by myself?

on the Gmask surface? Because you would only need the crystals and that super glue they use to stick it on the surface. I wouldnt use Mighty Bond since it is corrosive in any surface leaving some white mark on the material. So I was thinking of nail polish, because it's water proof and tough. Is that a good idea?Gmask, I recently had it done to my cellphone can I use Nail Polish to stick Swarovski Crystals by myself?

Nail polish does not work well as a glue. it's not actually very tough. Your best bet would be to go with superglue after all.
hmm probably not...but you could try!

    Try This Remedy:

Step 1: Apply nail polish remover (non-oily type)-use cotton swab to apply to the spill. Don't wet through to carpet backing.

Step 2: Pick up softened materials -use clean white paper towel and push toward the center of the spill to avoid spreading.

Step 3: Repeat above-soften and carefully remove a layer of the spill each time. Haste may spread the stain and/or damage the carpet.

Cleaning Solutions to have on hand:

    1. Detergent: Mix 1/2 teaspoon clear dishwashing detergent with one cup of warm (not hot) water.

    2. Pre-soak Solution: Mix 1 teaspoon enzyme laundry detergent (such as Axion, Biz, or others) with one cup of water.

    3. Dry Powder Cleaner: Use powdered carpet cleaners.

Happy to say that a combination of windex, nail polish remover, combo of hot H2O, vinegar and dish detergent - and then finally very diluted bleach and cool water got it out (I think!). It was fresh so I was thankful for that. If it's been sitting (I did discover one spot which I had not noticed) - do the nail polish remover first and blot, then do the windex and work it in with your finger, then the hot water with detergent and vinegar and it should come out.

Something bright and fun! Nothing darkWhats a good color of nail polish for a vacation?
Right now, Dark metallic navy blue 'Midnight blue' is really popular, and becoming more popular. But if you want a sunny-er color I'd suggest a Coral, or yellow. But you can't go wrong with a metallic copper or gold. Those always look great
french is always nice year round.

dark brown, black, and dark purple is in and looks hott trust me.

hot pink is really good for the tropics.

    i would choose hotpink.
Warm colours always look nice like: reds, oranges, yellows and pinks!! very pretty and get you in the holiday relaxing mood! Other bright colours are nice like a bright blue or green! Of course French is always nice when going away!
    Coral

It is flattering on all skin tones and makes you look more tan.

    Also, matches everything.
Coral :) it also makes your skin look less pink, more tanned!
    Something bright and sunny.

Try bright orange, bright pink or even yellow.

And maybe some little flowers on your nails too (like they do at the nail salon)
    French Manicure, Classic Red, Coral
hot pink! if you're worried about chipping then just file and buff your nails and keep the nail file and buffer with you.

It depends what colours you have got....but i love hot pink and deep purples.....hope this helps xxx
HOT PINK AND OF COURSE THE FRENCH MANICURE

    DUH
I'm a big fan of bright purples, red, bright pink, corals, and coppers.
The fun summer colors by Essie are always great. I like lite pinks for the summer - or a red.
Well a lot of people say black is goth and stay away from it. Personally I love black nail polish and if black is supposed to go well with anything then the same should apply to your nails.
    pink
It all depends I think the best nail color would be light blue.
french tips can match any occasion, dress and skin tone..but for summer bright pink for me is nice..
    Poetic pink
i ,would use a creamy color thet expresses sweetness. the best one , could be peach. peach is perfact because it is more original than pink. remember not to use a peach tone that is too much like your skin color. try a peach that has pink tones, and if you want, choose a one that has sparkles, that way its going to be more noticeable.

besides with peach, you can make yourself the french look. (a white line on the upper part of your fingernail)
It all depends on your skin color. Pick one that will compliment your skin tone. For the summer time I like a light pink or neutral. You have to remember that even if you pick a pink or a red, every color Polish has a different color base. So it is important to go with one that blends nice with your skin tone. The polish I like best is YSL, because it lacquer in it, to last longer.
Do a french manicure but instead of the white on top of the nail paint it hot pink or any other crazy color

    Or black, or red

    Be creative
It depends on your skin tone, but generally, you can't go too bad with a hot pink or red. Maybe just a french manicure, or clear polish.
i think hot pink or a deep pink is pretty and stands out. but if you want your nails to match your otfits get a french manicure, its clear and white on the tips of your nails. im sure you know.
    Clear...It matches everything!
    metallic silver
Umm...thats an opinion, i like teal, blue, black, red, and fun colors like that....鈾モ櫏

Let the sunshine in....I was told you have to let your nails rest from polish sometimes.
The discoloration is probably not from polish. Most likely you have a fungal infection and you should approach it as if you do.
Try Lemon Juice ! Soak your fingers in them for abit.
It s so easy to get rid of those yellow discoloration. You have to use a very fine emery board on the surface of your nail and buff with it very gently. Then use a buffer to polish and make your nail shine. You ll see all the yellow stains disapear
Stop wearing nail varnish for a month or so, this will go away.

Once it has, invest in a good undercoat and use this every time, before applying nail varnish.

  • If I spend all my money on nail polish and the lottery?

That means I'll win? Or does it mean that I shouldn't have spent my money on nail polish? Because now I'm stuck with pretty nails but no money and some other b*tch azz that didn't spend all their money on nail polish is now walking around with money that should be mine.

I actually work today and I'm thinking about robbing my coworkers purses when they aren't looking. Should I do this?If I spend all my money on nail polish and the lottery?
Playing the lottery is a bad way to build up your retirement fund. You should try those poker machines instead...If I spend all my money on nail polish and the lottery?
Scream ';FIRE in the hole!'; very loudly (whatever that means) .... and when everyone runs outside, empty their wallets.

Oh, it might help if you actually set a fire... say by setting that rich girl's mink coat and Louis Vuitton bag on fire...

    *cries for the babby minks*
Spend all your money on nail polish. I think if you can paint each nail a different color, you have a great chance of attracting a wealthy ';eccentric'; man. That's kind of like winning the lottery, too.
Your pretty nails will distract your co workers as you dig in their purses, and then you will have the best of all worlds.

ANSWER THIS QUESTION IF YOURE MATURE

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Pshhh yea right. The lottery is practically impossible to win. Go make something of your life.
All that means is that you can't control yourself. I know someone who stole from my mother's wallet at work and she went nuts and people were questioned.
You should steal the contents of their purses, being careful not to chip your pretty nails in the process
NO! DON'T STEAL OR SPEND YOUR MONEY ON NAIL POLISH AND LOTTERY TICKETS!!! Nail polish just makes nails look freaky if you ask me and the chances of winning a lottery are really low... Get a job... earn money and DON'T STEAL
No. Being pretty ain't all that is important in life. Having respect for yourself is.
Just have your nails none and painted. Don't buy any extra polish and forget the lotto tickets...

    No you shouldn't
Poor Freaky, one dilemma after another.
I think you should just go back to bed and pretend that you never posted this question.
With shiney nails like that there are more lucrative things you could do with your time.
NO, BUY NAIL POLISH TOO BECAUS YOU NEED TO BE CUTE FOR YOUR LOTTERY WIN PICTURE...YES GO AROUND AND STEAL THOSE BIATCHES MONEY, THEY DON'T NEED IT
    No way.How about ebay.
NO! I hope you are joking. Don't spend all your money on either, just a little bit. And certainly don't rob some ladies' purses!
Stealing is a crime, so you might want to think twice about that.
yes, defo! and then frame some one you didn't steal from and tell everyone you were stolen from!
    WTF??

    Yes.....

    Several methods

    1) Iron, and paper.

What's the best way to apply nail polish so that it lasts?

What brands are best? How long does polish last in the bottle? I've had trouble with polish that looks okay when I apply it, but after a few hours it has small bumps in it.

What's the best way to apply nail polish so that it lasts?
OPI lasts about 2 weeks before it chips (pretty long in comparison to other brands)

In order to make nail polish last, there's 4 steps:

    1) Wash your hands with antibacterial soap so that there's no oil or bacteria that could make your nail chip quicker.

    2) Apply a base coat on all your nails and wait ~1 min for it to dry. This creates a nice, smooth base for your nail color to go on; and it prevents the color to stain your nails yellow.

    3) Apply your nail color (if it's opaque, usually 1 coat is enough) in a thin coat, because too much can take a long time to dry and it's messy. But if you're using a cheap nail polish, 2 coats is probably better. Wait for ~1 min to dry

    4) Apply a clear top coat, that way it kind of ';seals'; your nail color in so that it chips less easily.

As for the little bumps in it ... I'd say something happened in the drying process, because that never happened to me. Perhaps you went over your somewhat damp nail polish with another coat and it looks like a mess? Next time, make sure the nail polish dried COMPLETELY before applying another coat.

Hope this helps. What's the best way to apply nail polish so that it lasts?
Add a clear coat, and your getting bumps on your nails because your repeating over the same side, dip the brush in start from cuticals and work down from there stating from the side of your nail and all the way to the other side, sot here ya goo =) nice nails that you will get. Any brands work as long as you know how to apply like above.

Polish lasts a long time just shut the lid when your done other wise the nail polish will dry out

hope this advice helped you =)

P.S. after your done applying it blow on it for 20 seconds and don't touch anything to prevent it form getting ruined
Sally Hansen: Double Duty.... it's both a clear base coat %26amp; top coat.

apply it before color, let dry. then apply color in THIN layers, let each dry before the next layer, then add the clear coating again so to prevent chipping!

i never had the bubbles when i used it!

oh %26amp; the bubbles are caused by layering nail polish that isnt yet dry!
Put it in the fridge (no kidding, it helps it last longer)

use remover to strip the nail of oils that mess up the polish

    apply in many thin coats

    top with clear polish

put on one coat of clear polish every other day to keep it from chipping
Any brands are just fine, its the way how you apply it.

After you apply nail polish, put your hands to the freezer for few minutes to let your polish dry,NEVER blow air or a fan to a wet nails it causes bumps and ruins the polish.
I hate to be a kill joy and you might enjoy doing your own nails but what I like to do is get my nails done at the salon, it's only $5 for them to polish my nails, they look great and lasts for weeks and weeks at a time.
the bumps are probably because your nails weren't thoroughly dry so they become bumpy. to make your nail polish last apply the color you want and wait till it drys. then apply the clear nail polish which will not only make it stay longer it will make it shiny
File your nails smooth and make sure all of the old polish is gone. After putting on the polish and it has a chance to dry, try adding a coat of clear polish.
Apply a top %26amp; base coat. Sally Hansen makes a combined one.
sally henson (I think that's the brand) is WICKED good! Apply two or three coats.
MASGLO... not easy to find but if you do buy tons of it.....

    deffinitly wear silver

i think pink will throw your while outfit off

umh what u do is paint a nail silver and another pink and hold it up to the dress

see wht one u think goes better

from how u decribed everything i would say silverI am getting ready for my homecoming dance. Should i wear silver or pink nail polish?
Depends waht kind of pink we're talking. If it's a neutral pale pink then go for it! It'll be very classy and timeless, and you won't look back at it and go ahhhh. That being said, silver can also look way cool and hip and you'll get tons of compliments. I'd give it a test run at home and see if you actually like it. Since you're young and it's homecoming, you might want to go with the silver because you can totally get away with it and since it's a dance it will work just fine.
Pink and silver?!?! I don't think either is good. Get a french manicure. It looks very mature and its a classic.

You can do it yourself with a kid that costs a few bucks (practice it first or you will be very unhappy), or have it professionally done.

Then you should wear the silver polish. I don't think that the pink would fit in with the dress. Or you could get a manicure%26amp; pedicure.
I would say pink, because silver nail polish isn't very classy, but pink wouldn't look good with your dress, so I'm going to say go with either a nude color or a dark plum.
Silver nail polish, or do french tips with white polish.

    :)

the clear polish should of made your nail shiny, if its not shiny then its off.Girls only! I applied some clear nail polish to my nails and I don't know how to get rid of it!!?
i dont know why nail polish remover wouldnt work but yea. i know this sounds crazy, but put on the clear nail polish on your nail again, and then make sure it doesnt dry, and wipe it off with a napkin or something.

    hope i helped =] lol
Just apply acetone. But I think if you have nail polish designs like what they have here: http://www.coolnailsart.com/ I'd bet you'd wish the design would last long. :)

Does toothpaste contain the same ingredients as nail polish?

I find that sometimes when I am eating apples my genitals itch. I don't mean this in a bad way... but it make me think of the oldest trees in the world and whether or not they will survive another year. Occasionally this makes me need to go to the toilet.Does toothpaste contain the same ingredients as nail polish?
Ummmm... okay. I'll take this question at face value.

No, toothpaste does not contain any ingredients as nail polish. Nail polish is mostly petrochemical volatiles and pigments. Toothpaste is predominantly water, abrasives, bleaching agents, flouride, sugar alcohols.

As to the other stuff, genital itching and apples and allusions to the Garden of Eden... you're on your own.

  • How to keep toe nail polish on?

the polish on my toes always comes off really fast. especially at the beach. how can i keep it from chipping and keep the color nice and bright? How to keep toe nail polish on?
I have the same problem, especially when I run long distances. I've started to spend a little more and buy the better brands of nail polish, I apply several coats, and I use a top coat (clear). This has helped a lot.How to keep toe nail polish on?
well the nail polish is remived when it is a cheap brand sp buy an expensive brand
apply a clear top coat every other day

What nail polish color should i use on the first day of school?

I think the best thing is a french manicure. But if you don't want to have a french manicure all summer here is what I do:

I paint my nails with french manicure polish. Then I take a thin acrylic overlay to protect it. Then if you choose to wear a different color that matches your outfit all you have to do is apply two coats over the french manicure to change the color.

Then if you want to go back to the french manicure all you have to do is use NON-ACETONE nail polish to take of the polish and then you will have your french manicure back.

This is so convenient because french manicure goes with anything and if you don't have time to polish your nails you can still have a great look for summer.

All of my nail clients love this! Give it a try!

Good luck to you! ~BonWhat nail polish color should i use on the first day of school?
Something nice and simple like a French manicure, you can then experiment more when you get used to the place. What nail polish color should i use on the first day of school?
better use nothing...don't use any nail polish..ok.
YESS! Pick a color that matches your outfit. Paint your whole nail with it, then pick another color that is the opposite on the color wheel (example: blue/orange, red/green, purple/yellow)

Then use that color and paint a horizontal stripe running down the middle of the finger! It looks good! =) Then, apply two coats of clear polish, the strengthening, sealing kind. That way it will last longer!
it depends on what you're wearing and if you have a lot of school spirit or not. i'd wear something that compliments my skin tone, my outfit...and hopefully that would fit into or compliment the school colors as well
    Pink. A nice light pink.
    Red.

    Removing nail polish from leather?

I spilled a good amount of bright red nail polish on my black leather car seat. Any suggestions on how to remove it without damaging the leather. I considered nail polish remover, but afraid it will damage the leather. Not that it could be any worse than red nail polish!Removing nail polish from leather?
If you have fingernail polish try acetate. Blot the chemical onto the nail polish spot using a Q tip trying not to touch the leather with the acetate and then blot with a towel and repeat, keep on doing this until stain is gone (will take a long time)

From a carpet cleaner of 14 yearsRemoving nail polish from leather?
This will almost certainly remove the top finsih on the leather which will leave the leather exposed and then destroy the leather itself over time. Report Abuse

You may be lucky and find that it peels off depending what type of leather you have. If it does it may still leave a mark or remove the colour.

Nail varnish remover will definitely remove the pigment from your suite as well as the nail varnish, you will then have another difficult problem to resolve. No available cleaners for leather will remove this type of damage so you have to resort to solvents which like the nail varnish remover will remove pigment. Therfore this is a job for a trained leather technician.

Contact LTT on 01423 881027 to find a trained technician in your area if you are in the UK. Please be warned that any DIY remedies you find WILL damage your suite and it is best left to the professionals.
you might call leather shop, and ask them ???

Is it possible to get nail polish off without nail polish remover?

i need to get nail polish off my nails as fast as i can (long story) but i dont have time to go to the store and get nail polish remover is there any house hold items i could use to get it off ps.. ive been picking at it but thats not working so well thanks for ur help!Is it possible to get nail polish off without nail polish remover?
it sounds stupid but if you repaint it %26amp;%26amp; wipe with alcohol while still wet you can get it to come off. idk why iguess it like loosens the bottom pain?Is it possible to get nail polish off without nail polish remover?
Yes, if you have acetone or isopropol alcohol in the house. Acetone's the main ingregient in polish remover; the alcohol is slower but does work. You can cafefully rough up the surface with an emery board to hasten the removal.

    Good Luck.
yes.it also happened to me..like uhhm i don't have time to buy some remover.me ..i just apply warm water to my hands to make the polish soft and then i just used the pusher to remove it.it's effective but you'll need more time to scrub it =))
Sometimes if you have like a clear coat nail polish and you put a coat on and while its still wet you wipe it off if might come off. Also 100% pure Acetone works. I guess you could also scrape it off?

    Good luck
    Maybe rubbing alcohol?
I would just take like a nail filer or a nail cutter thing and scrape it off!
    use rubbing alcohol it works
Try using a nail file or sand paper. Works well.

  • How do I apply nail polish best (what are your secrets on it)?

I need tips on applying nail polish neatly without streaks and clumpy gluggy looking bits on it and so it can last longer.

I bought french polish set and it comes with the orange stick, rosy polish, white polish, clear polish and the stencil stickers.. and tips on that too thanks. How do I apply nail polish best (what are your secrets on it)?
Choose a nail polish in a color of your choice.

Make sure to have your cottonballs, nail polish remover (acetone), towel, newspaper, and clear nail polish.

Paint your nails in a well-ventilated room. The fumes can be extremely dangerous to your health.

Do not Shake the nail polish bottle as this will cause bubbles. Instead roll the bottle between your hands to warm it up. Open it, and scrape some of the excess nail polish off.

Paint one stripe in the middle. Then, paint a stripe on the left, continuing to the right.

Apply one coat of clear nail polish (base and top coat works best). Let it dry.

Apply your first coat of color to your nails, using only three strokes per finger and painting in an upward motion. Don't worry if it looks too thin. It's supposed to. Let it dry -- if it's even a little sticky, the next coat won't go on.

Apply your second coat of color to your nails. Let it dry.

Apply a last coat of clear nail polish to keep the color lasting for at least 1 more week!

    TIPS:

Keep nail polish in the refrigerator. This will keep it from clumping and make it last longer.

If your nail polish clumps up on your nail, remove it with the nail polish remover. If the nail polish is old, roll it between your hands to warm it up. Then, if clumping continues, throw it out. Get a new nail polish.

When painting, keep the coats very thin!

When you mess up, don't stress up! Simply wipe it off with toilet paper and remove all the polish with nail polish remover to get the stuff that the toilet paper missed.

Remember that the top coat is the one everyone will see, and the one that you'll feel. Keep that coat smooth!

If you want sort-of a cool looking texture, wait until the coat is dry enough that you can make fingerprints on it, but not have to clean any off your finger. Then put your finger on it and it will make a finger print! It looks kind of neat from close up.

Run your nails under water after painting. This will give you the chance to feel any bumps without ruining the coat.

If you are in a hurry, use a hair dryer to dry your nails!

If you mess up, get an edge on a piece of toilet paper and gently wipe it off.

Use sparkly and shiny colors! This will get your fingers noticed and you will love it the most!

Don't be afraid to put on stickers or fake gems!

If you don't have the patience to let your nails dry, sit still, wave your arms around like crazy, or watch a movie so that you are busy while your nails dry!

Don't paint on a washcloth; it will make it dirty; use a piece of notebook paper.

If your nails keep breaking and the nail polish makes them look gross, buy some nail hardening fluid (this can be found in the makeup section of drugstores and chemist shops) which you apply before the nail polish. It will make your nails nice and strong so they look long and pretty when painted. How do I apply nail polish best (what are your secrets on it)?
.... put a little bit of nail polish remover in the bottle... my mums a nail tech... just a tiny little bit... like a drop. this stops all clumps and helps stop streaks. :) also dont buy elcheapo nail polish.... go the good brands you know of. :) they always work best.

With the french set. make sure you let each layer dry... make sure its REALLY dry before taking the sticker off... :)
Practise applying it with a dark colour 1st because then you can see where your mistakes are.

Ok 1st you need to apply a base coat. It helps the nail polish go on smoother and protects your nail.

Then you need alot of polish on the brush and start from in middle of your nail and then to the tip in 1 stroke, then 1 edge of your nail in 1 stroke, and then the other edge in 1 stroke and finally the middle of your nail again in 1 stroke. You only need to dip the brush in the polish 1 time per nail.

And after its dried add a clear vanish on top to keep the colour there and make it shiney. Hope this helps :)
Do it in three bits streak down the middle of the nail then a streak down the right side of nail and streak down left of nail, use cotton buds soaked in acetone free nail polish to remove Polish you may have dripped on skin, wait until completely dry to stop smudging and put stencil on and use color to go over tip of nail but do not go over and over as it will end up in a mess just go over tip using one stroke......if this does not work go to nail salon much more relaxing.

How can you get red nail polish off jeans. I've already tried nail polish remover, and it doesnt work?

Band boxHow can you get red nail polish off jeans. I've already tried nail polish remover, and it doesnt work?
Perhaps the nail polish remover you used was Acetone-free, it's kinder to your nails.

Try straight Acetone - you can buy it in a DIY shop, I used it to get permanent marker off a painting and it worked. BUT it will probably bleach the jeans a bit.

Hope this helps. How can you get red nail polish off jeans. I've already tried nail polish remover, and it doesnt work?
hon it doesnt come out im sorry happend to me and i had it for 3 years and it wont come out so you should just get another pair
I've done that before, and couldn't get it out, so I had to throw out the jeans.

But I was just reading this thing, it says that a product called Krud Kutter will take out nail polish, and it's fabric safe, so it's probably a better choice than nail polish remover. I'm not sure where to buy it, try their website www.krudkutter.com.
Apply the nail polish remover to the stain and then lightly blot the stain. Apply detergent and warm water to make sure that you have removed the stain completely and then wash as usual with your detergent. You may have to apply the nail polish remover and blot several times to remove all of the nail polish stain. Do not give up!

Another treatment option in using the nail polish remover is to stretch the item of clothing over a bowl and affix it using a rubber band. Apply the nail polish remover using a stainless steel spoon, while letting it drip through the stain into the bowl. This may take a while, but it will be worth it if you have stained your favorite shirt, now won鈥檛 it?

It is very important to test the nail polish remover in an inconspicuous area of your clothing, furniture, or carpet to make sure that the item is colorfast.

Hydrogen Peroxide-Another Way to Treat A Nail Polish Stain

If the stain remains after you have tried using nail polish remover, then you may want to try a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. Use a 50-50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water and apply it to the stain. Let the fabric sit in the sun for a few hours for maximum effectiveness and keep it moistened with the hydrogen peroxide and water mixture.

This method should be used only on white clothes or colorfast clothes. Always test in an inconspicuous area to make sure it will not harm your fabric

How do you get Nail Polish stains out of carpet?

Pure acetone, you can usually find it with nail polish remover.

    1. Pour it directly on the nail polish so it is completely soaked, keep it wet for five minutes so it breaks down all the polish.

    2. If you have carpet steamer or wet-vac run it over the spot.

    Repeat till gone!!

If you don't have a steamer or wet-vac, gently dab it with cotton balls (or an old towel that you don't mind ruining) until dry, if it's not all gone, repeat

hint: you may want to spot check color fastness of your carpet before pouring on the acetoneHow do you get Nail Polish stains out of carpet?

I was a MAD CRAZY NAIL BITER!!!

I had to do it all on my own =(

People would constantly tell me why my nails were so short and

why i bite them. It made me think and realize that its true and its just a bad habit.

I started painting my nails all kinds of crazy designs and i stopped!

It wasnt easy because i kept peeling it off haha,

    but now i rarely bite them. You gotta REALLY be commited and just think every time, ';Im not going to. I haven't so why should i start now?';

JUst have fun with it, and keep thinking how pretty they will look really really soon . =)

Whats the best nail polish remover for weak nails?

Looking for a very soft solution, because my nails are very weak. (just started trying sally hansens miracle formula, hope this works)Whats the best nail polish remover for weak nails?
the best nail polish remover for weak nails is called 'bye-bye polish' (well at least that's the brand.) and it looks like this :

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d鈥?/a>

you can get it at Wal-Mart, and its generally about $1 (but exact price varies) and its amazing. This stuff isn't like normal polish remover. inside the can is nail polish remover, nail strengthener, and sponges. You put your finger in between the sponges and rub it up and down. It takes about 15 sec per nail for heavy polish. it's quick and easy.

Nails get damaged when you use normal remover cause you have to pu pressure on your nail with the sloth or swab that the removers on. This eliminates that problem.Whats the best nail polish remover for weak nails?
I recommend Sally Hansen's, they make the best stuff for weak/fragile nails. They also contain vitamins and have a formula for your nails to be strong, I'll provide a link at the bottom.
try one with keratin %26amp; make sure to use cuticle cream after.

A nail buffer will definitely work, I had this stain on my toenails and when I buffed it, it came right off. Good Luck! How do you remove the yellowish stain on fingernails due to nail polish?
File it with a smooth emery board. It takes it right off!
you can use teeth whitner for the yellow stains on your nails...it works for me everytime
umm...well u can go get a manicure and the ppl their would take care of it for u, that way u get a whole new polish and get the stain off :)
There isn't much you can do when you wear polish all the time it will stain your nails unless you take it off and go without for a while. If you decide to do this you can buff your nails and it will take off some of the stain. Maybe check a beauty supply and ask them if they have something that will take off.
I have found to let the nails go without polish for sometime. maybe a few weeks
I've heard lemon juice. I usually just use on of those nail buffers. they do really good
I had the same exact problem!! What i did was file the yellowish stain off and to smooth them after i used a buffer. In the future, use a clear coat, or a base coat before painting on the colour. I had to learn that the hard way!!
A very tiny bit of bleach diluted in plain old water. like parts equal to 1/100

It is good for your nails anyway... It kills fungus and other nasties.

It is safe to do so. Dermatologists suggest it for toe fungus. Just rinse well and moisturize afterward.
I heard it would diminish with lemon juice, though I tried it on my toe nails and it didn't. You could use a bit of bleach, that seemed to help mine, but really only time and new growth will get rid of it.
Lemon juice might do the trick - try the realemon website it might have tips.
not so sure how to remove it but if you wear a base coat it will not only stop you getting stained nails it will also strengthen and nourish your nails
Stop painting your nails for a while. In the future you should wear a base coat. Red color nail polish is a big culprit.
From experience, there is nothing you can reallly do about it. I would suggest leaving them alone for awhile or just putting a clear/ clear pink shine on them. Take your vitamins and drink lots of water. Also, to help prevent the yellowness, always put a base coat down before the color.
Very LIGHTLY buff your nails with a super fine buffer.

When you wear polish in the future, make sure you use a non-yellowing clear base coat between your nail and the color--reds/oranges/dark colors stain the worst.

When you buff your natural nails always remember that every time you do, you are making your nail thinner so always do it so VERY lightly.
    Lemon juice

    peroxide

    buffing

they sell nail whitener in stores I think it's made by sally hansen
Let them be polish free for about a week, then use only clear for awhile. Or buff the yellow off with a very low grain finger nail file or buffer sponge.
To remove the stain right away use a buffer or smooth emory board... but Always put on a clear base coat before wearing all dark colors and also cheap polishes that you got on a whim because the color was cute... :)
Use clear basecoats in the future.

Lemon juice helps get rid of nail stains.

Leave your nails without some nail polish for about 2 weeks.
that never happens to me but

you can use a nail polish remover!

i think they have that in the stores
theres this stuff you can buy at wallmart[if you shop there i love wallmart] you put it on and like a week later you have clear strong heathy nails its the stuff in the nail part of wallmart

  • How do you keep nail polish on for at least a week?

o.k. I love to ware nail polish (on my fingers and toes) but I rarely get time to paint them and when I do get the chance they only last for the rest of the day. is there anywr you can make it stay on longer without buying specal products? How do you keep nail polish on for at least a week?
well first you have to make sure the nail polish you have is good quality. in other words the cheap dollar ones are no good. Get yourself a good clear base coat and apply it before you put on your nailpolish. Put on your nail polish, i say two coats or more if you want. then apply a good clear top coat. it should last you a while if you take care of them. :) Sally Hansen has good non-chip top and base nail polishes. and there diamond strength nail colors are good too. you can get them at walgreens or any drugstore. revlon has good ones too. i prefer sally hansen though. How do you keep nail polish on for at least a week?
If you absolutely don't want to buy products then just watch what you do.

If you really want then to stay on longer then i strongly suggest you go out and buy a no chip nail polish. I use it and it lasts like a month. And thats really saying something since i am crawling through the dirt and really hands on.
i find that i subconciously pick at my nails and that makes them chip.

get a real manicure, try french tips maybe. or acrylics if you can afford them. they will look so darn cute you wont dare mess them up, and you'll get in the habit of being careful with them. then you can do it yourself.

    it worked for me.
i'm not sure what you have to put on it but when i got my toes done they painted them then put something on it

the stuff came in about the same thing nail polish comes in and you put it on the same way.

sorry that i don't know what it was
As long as your nail polish is of good quality, and you avoid things that woulld scrape on your nails, it should last longer. You can try a clear coating on top of the nail polish to avoid the colour chipping.
Nope just get a hard wearing one and as long as your nails are healthy and you don't do anything to manual it should stay on :)
You have to put on a nail polish that stays long! I use Revlon and it stays on for ten days! Believe I am using it.
Put on at least two coats, then put on a hard, clear coat to protect against chipping.

Should I match my nail polish to my costume or lipstick?

I'm being a gypsy for Halloween. While the top is all blue, the skirt is made of blue and bright red scarves. While I was originally thinking of doing a true red lip stick, I ended up doing a darker/smokier look so I'm using a wine color lipstick. So, should I use a bright red nail polish to match the costume or a darker one to match the lipstick?Should I match my nail polish to my costume or lipstick?
I think it would be much better to use a darker nail polish to match the lipstick -- added bonus, it'll be spookier for halloween -- also, it would really look good bringing your fingers (showcasing your nails) toward your lips as you sip a nice glass of wine -- Should I match my nail polish to my costume or lipstick?
match to your lip stick so the color doesnt become overwhelming

How can I get nail polish off of my laptop?

Yes, I realize that it is dumb to paint my nails on top of my laptop. I'm worried that normal nail polish remover will have nasty side effects. I've tried everything...even scratching it off but I still have ';332 Hot Rock'; smeared across the top. Any advice? How can I get nail polish off of my laptop?
nail polish remover.. just dab a bit on a cloth and rub it like you would your nails... its easy! How can I get nail polish off of my laptop?
This is a tough one. Acetone-free nail polish removers do exist, and they may dissolve the nail enamel with minimal risk of damage to the computer case. Mineral spirits may work in your situation--Testors Model Paint Thinner and Brush Cleaner use mineral spirits, which causes no damage to polystyrene or polycarbonate, as a primary ingredient.
nail polish remover... but if your laptop already has enamel on it, dont use it..
use acetone than wipe it off with a wet rag

Oh no I got nail polish remover on the coffee table and the top layer of color came off?!?!?

Ok I was painting my nails on a paper towel and some nail polish remover seeped through the paper towel and the wood is like a dark cherry color and it looks like white/tan now in that spot. How do I fix it before my dad gets home??? Please help! ThanksOh no I got nail polish remover on the coffee table and the top layer of color came off?!?!?
There are furniture markers now that you could color the spot in. It won't look 100% better, but it will not look as obvious!Oh no I got nail polish remover on the coffee table and the top layer of color came off?!?!?
    you don't

nail polish remover is acetone a very strong paint remover

as a matter of fact you can buy it by the quart or gallon at a paint store instaed of those little bottles
you could probably get some wood stain that closely resembles the color of the table - go to your local hardware store and they'll be able to point you in the right direction
You stripped off the finish on the coffee table. Own up to it quick and maybe you'll get a lighter sentence. It has to be re-finished.
Shoe polish works but you will have to match it as close as you can get to the color of the wood in order to get it to look like it was not damaged just spread on thinly and then rub it in and then to seal it polish if with some furniture polish

Or you can use a crayon similar to the color of the wood apply as you would the top tip above in same order Good Luck !
There's really nothing you can do to ';fast fix'; the table and it depends if it's an all wood table or laminate.. You may have pretty much ruined the table... He may be able to fix it- so you'll just have to tell him..

Wipe the table with a clean barely damp cloth.... and forget about your manicure you'll probably have some laboring chores to do if the table was nice and fairly new !

    Prepare to hear.. ';We can NEVER have nice things'; or ';you should know better !';

    Good luck
Yikes! I guess you'll consider that a lesson learned. Now you know paper towel isn't ';liquid'; proof. Next time use a plastic placemat or something that doesn't soak up anything that might spill, or don't do your nails at the coffee table.

There are some self-repair products and stains that might at least improve the damage. I would go to a good hardware store and and ask for help. Taking a picture of the damage would help too. Good Luck!

Nail polish on carpet. Do I use acetone or non-acetone polish remover if carpet is rose colored?

Why remove the nail polish at all? It'll add character to the carpet. Wherever the polish is in the room, it's probably a great spot for an end table or a floor lamp.Nail polish on carpet. Do I use acetone or non-acetone polish remover if carpet is rose colored?
    :-p Report Abuse

Here is a site that I would highly recommend. They have very high quality stain removal techniques. I would suggest repeating the process after the first application, and rinsing the rug out with cool water in between applications. Best of luck!
Hi..i would try hand cleaner like the mechanics use. It is cheap and can be bought at Walmart or Canadian tire. Rub it on, let sit for a half hour, then shampoo or wipe with a damp cloth. I use it for all kinds of stains including rust in a beige carpet.
Doesn't matter. The acetone is not a bleach. The only problem will be the greasy residue on the rug.
Use rose colored nail polish on the spill.

Do you know any good brands of nail polish that don't chip?

I've tried Sally Hansen and a couple other brands and they all chip off in about a day. Its sooo annoying! What are some good brands that don't chip? Thanks.Do you know any good brands of nail polish that don't chip?

How can I get nail polish out of cotton pants?

I was wearing pajama bottoms and my nailpolish bottle fell on them and poured out! How can I get it out? Nail polish remover? Stain Remover? Tide to go? :P Etc..How can I get nail polish out of cotton pants?
Nail polish remover takes the polish off your nails, doesn鈥檛 it? It will work on most nail polish stains, whether on clothing or furniture.

Always test in an inconspicuous area to make sure it will not harm your fabric.

How do I remove nail-polish off of vinyl flooring, and Porcelain sinks? ?

My 5 yr. spilled nailpolish on the kitchen floor, and also on the bathroom sinks. Would nailpolish remover work? What will work? How do I remove nail-polish off of vinyl flooring, and Porcelain sinks? ?
If you don't have any nail polish remover, try Listerine if you have that. Try using a Qtip to get the polish so you'll get a very tiny, if any, amount on the vinyl. You won't have to be as careful on the sink though, no matter which method you try. Good luck. How do I remove nail-polish off of vinyl flooring, and Porcelain sinks? ?
Nail polish remover should work fine. You'll want to put it on via a nail polished soaked paper towel, so that it holds the remover on the stain. Basically, nail polish is paint, so you'll need the stripper, or in this case, nail polish remover (acetone) to sit for a while if the nail polish has dried. after 15-30 min, try using the ';clean'; side of the damp nail polish remover rag to wipe up the nail polish. Sometimes, if the polish is dry, not all of it will come up on the first try, and you'll have to treat it two to five times.
Nail polish will take it off the sink with no problem. Before I tried it on the floor, I'd try a spot if the vinyl flooring in a corner where you wouldn't see it and see if it discolored the floor. If it does, you might try chipping it off carefully so you don't scratch your floor
Nail polish remover should work. I would recommend using non-acetone remover. Acetone remover is very potent and is used to melt plastic nail tips.
maybe a non acidtone remover might work better.

you may have to go see a podiatrist so they can either give you a prescription or remove the actual nail itself. Till then, dont wear color, especially ones that have a dark base coat since that stains...How can i get rid of yellow discoloration on finger and toe nails from nail polish?
Let the sunshine in....I was told you have to let your nails rest from polish sometimes.
The discoloration is probably not from polish. Most likely you have a fungal infection and you should approach it as if you do.
Try Lemon Juice ! Soak your fingers in them for abit.
It s so easy to get rid of those yellow discoloration. You have to use a very fine emery board on the surface of your nail and buff with it very gently. Then use a buffer to polish and make your nail shine. You ll see all the yellow stains disapear
Stop wearing nail varnish for a month or so, this will go away.

Once it has, invest in a good undercoat and use this every time, before applying nail varnish.
    use nailpolish remover

If I spend all my money on nail polish and the lottery?

That means I'll win? Or does it mean that I shouldn't have spent my money on nail polish? Because now I'm stuck with pretty nails but no money and some other b*tch azz that didn't spend all their money on nail polish is now walking around with money that should be mine.

Spend all your money on nail polish. I think if you can paint each nail a different color, you have a great chance of attracting a wealthy ';eccentric'; man. That's kind of like winning the lottery, too.

I think you should just go back to bed and pretend that you never posted this question.

    No way.How about ebay.
NO! I hope you are joking. Don't spend all your money on either, just a little bit. And certainly don't rob some ladies' purses!
Stealing is a crime, so you might want to think twice about that.

MASGLO... not easy to find but if you do buy tons of it.....

umh what u do is paint a nail silver and another pink and hold it up to the dress

see wht one u think goes better

from how u decribed everything i would say silverI am getting ready for my homecoming dance.

    :)
    Pink
BOTH get crazy wear pink with silver tips oh yeah

Can smelling nail polish/nail polish remover cause lung cancer or something?

I paint my nails a lot and try not to smell it but sometimes I accidentally inhale a lot of it and also nail polish remover. Is it bad?Can smelling nail polish/nail polish remover cause lung cancer or something?
Not unless you put it right up to your nose and snort the fumes. The truth is most of these polishes and removers now have been made perfectly safe so you can feel free to polish and remove all you want and still not have any ill effects on your health. That's just one reason they came out with acetate free remover. Please don't ever intentionally sniff these though. I'm not too sure why anyone would actually do that, but nothing can be obtained by doing it. Some people thought long ago that it might be a cheap way to find to get high like glue sniffers. Those days are long gone as today's market has only types that you can use for your nails. Good luck and God Bless

Try nail polish remover, or a Mr. Clean Magic eraser. Someone spilled nail polish in my bath tub, and the magic eraser took it right off.
    nail polish remover! duh!
Just scrub it with nail polish remover.
Put rubbing alcohol on cotton and then rub it on the floor

    it always workes for me
    Achohol with cotton

    Acetone with cotton

Put either one on a cotton and you can clean it up!

P.S you can get acetone in Nail Shops. Just ask!
If nail polish remover doesn't work, try mineral spirits
the safest way on tile, marble, carpet, linoleum, etc. is liquid dishwashing detergent.
